Payroll Manager - New York City, NY
Accounting Principals is partnering with a highly reputable client located in New York City, NY to fill a temporary Payroll Manager position. This company promotes a great work/life balance and offers the ability to work with a growing team. The qualified candidate will have experience with a software implementation or update.
Responsibilities for the Payroll Manager job include:
Oversee a staff of 4 Payroll Associates
Manage the payroll process to ensure accuracy of processing 500+ union and non-union employees on a weekly and semi-monthly basis
Prepare payroll journal entries
Prepare payroll reports for the month end close and on an ad-hoc basis
Audit payrolls to ensure accuracy of garnishments, deductions, levies, etc.
Requirements:
5+ years of managerial experience
Hands on experience assisting during a software implementation or upgrade
Proficiency in Excel
Multi-state payroll is a plus
Strong communication skills both written and verbal
Ability to prioritize
