Speaker Bio: Jim Kohl, Head of Payroll for Check Technologies, is a Payroll Industry insights leader who works with teams looking to increase their payroll knowledge. He has spent 15+ years in the payroll industry and is known for his operational excellence and his humor.
Background, Professional and industry experience: Jim launched his payroll career at Paychex, where he built his foundational knowledge and obtained his CPP. He then worked for Namely, a startup in the HR/payroll space, before moving onto Check Technologies, a payroll industry disruptor. Today, he supports Check's payroll API that enables new businesses to become payroll providers.
Summary of Presentation "Payroll and Social Responsibility" - The presentation will explore the importance of incorporating social responsibility into payroll practices. I'll discuss how businesses can ensure that their payroll processes are fair, equitable, and inclusive, and provide examples of companies that have implemented socially responsible payroll practices. By prioritizing social responsibility in payroll, businesses can create a more engaged and satisfied workforce while also contributing to a more just and equitable society.
