June Kirby

June Kirby CPP, was the Assistant Director of Payroll Services at Finlay Fine Jewelry Corporation from 1982 through 2010. As a Payroll Professional, I attended my first APA Congress in 1987.  After attaining my national membership, I started receiving mailings from the New York Metro Chapter. I attended a few meetings and saw the benefit they afforded on a local level and became a chapter member in 1992.  I assumed the office of Chapter Treasure in 1994 and held that office for most of my tenure. In 1995, I attained my CPP. I became Vice President in 2006 through 2009 and the President from 2010 through 2013. June is also an active member of the North Jersey Chapter.

As a chapter officer, i wore many hats as all of the NY Metro officers did. In 2005,  I worked with Sharon Richardson to revitalize the rebirth of our chapter. That rebirth included securing volunteers from our members for the open board positions, successfully coordinating winter and summer study groups for those wanting to achieve their FPC and CPP designations and most importantly building our membership by having informative chapter meetings. I secured a webmaster to recreate the chapter's website and set up the PayPal account for electronic payment of dues, study group fees and chapter functions.
